Lewis Hamilton, custom bo, Formula 1 world defending champion, finished first inTurkeys Grand Prix, after eight months without making it to the top of a F1 circuit podium. His last 1st place came in Singapores Grand Prix back in 2009.
Once again, over the demanding circuit at Istanbul Park, the fierce drivers from Red Bull Racing and those from McLaren-Mercedes proved that they are the starters in one of the best rivalries in the sport.
There were great confrontations between the racers during the qualification stages of the race. Both Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton were taking great risks and plunging for the finish line in an intense race for the pole-position.
Webber had some troubles with his vehicle's engine during the last qualifying run on Saturday. Despite the mechanical problems, personalized bobblehead, he was able to record the fastest lap. Hamilton, who kept the gas pedal stuck to the floor was able to take the second spot on the starting grid. This pushed Mark Webber's team partner, personalized bobbleheads, Sebastian Vettel, to the third place.
Right from the start, Vettel took advantage of a small gap that Hamilton left in the outside and moved in front of the English racer. When starting the second curve, the experienced racer was able to retake the second place. The triad Hamilton, Webber, and Vettel dominated the first half of the race. They were quite dominant until the three stopped to change their tires in a fast pit-stop.
Hamilton suffered a delay during his pit-stop. This helped Vettel move in front of the Englishman and take second place during the 16th lap of the race. Webber held strong to the first place.
Jenson Button was able to stay close and take a spot behind the Red Bull racing cars. Hamilton was right behind him. From that point on the four drivers dominated the rest of the circuit.
Bot teams were playing all their best cards. Webber and his teammate kept strong in the chase. They were driving on the verge. On their behalf, custom bob, Button and Hamilton kept pushing the two in front waiting for the Red Bull drivers to make the slightest mistake to take the front. It was an all in run for all the marbles from the two top squads.
The Red Bull's cars were certainly running faster then those from McLaren. This helped the two drivers in front to slowly but steadily increase their advantage, personalized bobbleheads. At one point it seems as if the two had the race in their hands,,. Hamilton was staying behind. And there was very little to do about it.
When the racers were about to start the 40th lap,Cowichan River Tubing - Grand Opening 2010, the prevailing rivalry between Vettel and Webber came to surface. In his attempt to surpass the leader, custom bobbleheads, Vettel smacked his car against his teammates vehicle when the later tried to close his way.
Both vehicles ended out of the racetrack due to the strong impact. Vettel took the worst part as he destroyed the front end of his race car and had to walk away. This incident brought up some of the rumours among the F1 racing press that state there has been some confrontations among the two Red Bull racers, personalized bobble heads. The team managers must have been quite furious to see as their racers just risked their chances of winning the constructors championship.
Lewis Hamilton didn't let the chance pass by and moved to the front of the pack, followed closely by Jenson Button. Webber was able to get his car back in track and worked his way up to the third place.
A couple laps later, Button tried to pass Hamilton. Both cars touched slightly and there were roars of fury from the team managers at McLaren. They ordered the two teammates to keep from making any other risky manoeuvres. They should have learned a lesson from the Red Bull team, but it seems racers are quite egoist sometimes.
Hamilton and Button stayed put and made their way to the end in the same orders. Mark Webber came in third. Lewis Hamilton now adds 25 more points with which he stays in third place of the rankings. Mark Webber is still first with 93 points.
